The best recurring segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! is inarguably Celebrities Read Mean Tweets. In the segment, a wide array of famous faces dive into Twitter before emerging with the most ludicrously offensive tweets posted about them, which range from the wildly insulting to the hilariously strange.
In this edition of the segment the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears (who after all these years of abuse from the public we are truly surprised can still emotionally handle any form of criticism) read tweets sent to them via the social networking site.
Our favorite is almost certainly the unnecessarily hate-filled tweet directed towards Lisa Kudrow. People on the internet can certainly get very angry, very quickly.
If nothing else, watching these videos makes us glad that we opted for the career path we have and didn’t have dreams of chasing fame and becoming an actor/pop star. We’re sure there are many perks to those jobs, but we like Twitter and wouldn’t want to read tweets calling us a tired hag every time we logged in.
