The forces of Apokolips are attacking Earth 2 in full force. And this time, Darkseid and his followers may finally succeed in conquering the world.
Earlier this morning, DC Comics confirmed that the weekly series, Earth 2: World’s End is part of the buildup to the Convergence event. But first, the heroes of Earth 2 need to find a way to survive in order to get to that point in the story.
In our exclusive preview from Earth 2: World’s End # 5, Green Lantern Alan Scott faces Solomon Grundy in the ruins of Rio De Janeiro. But even with an army of the dead at his command, Grundy may be forced to team up with Alan Scott. In fact, both Grundy and Scott may be just the beginning of a larger alliance of avatars to save the world.
Also in this issue, Queen Marella prepares to strike a dark bargain in Atlantis, James Olsen discovers his destiny and Mr. Terrific unveils a creation that could turn the tide of war. Meanwhile, Batman Power Girl, Val-Zod and Red Tornado attempt to save Huntress from Desaad deep within the newly created Firepit.
Earth 2: World’s End # 5 features the writing team of Daniel H. Wilson, Marguerite Bennett and Mike Johnson along with artists Jan Duursema & Jonathan Glapion, Tyler Kirkham & Joe Weems, Eduardo Pansica & Jaime Mendoza and Eddy Barrows & Eber Ferreira.
The issue will be released this Wednesday, November 5 in comic stores everywhere.
