Microsoft’s Xbox One has been releasing steadily in more and more territories spanning the globe, and one of their biggest upcoming launches is China. Consoles were supposed to be lining store shelves today, but unfortunately the release date has been pushed back approximately a week. Monday, September 29th is now the scheduled Xbox One release day for the PRC.

Microsoft has cited “government approval” for games and the like as being responsible for the delay, so one might assume that the Chinese government has made it a little difficult for Microsoft in terms of red tape to cut through and what not. Do you think the lackluster launch of the Xbox One in Japan is any indicator of what’s to come once the console jumps over to the mainland in China?
