Nick Cave will appear at two special screenings of his new semi-fictional documentary 20,000 Days On Earth in Melbourne this December where he will also sit for an audience Q&A session.
Tickets to the 7.30pm screening on Friday, 19th December sold out in such a short amount of time that Melbourne’s Astor Theatre has now announced a second matinee session to be held at 2pm on the same day.
20,000 Days On Earth, directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, combines drama and reality as it moves through improvised scenes of Cave during a fictitious average day, having lunch with collaborator Warren Ellis, visiting the Nick Cave Archive and driving around Kylie Minogue. It screened at both the Melbourne International Film Festival and the Sydney Film Festival earlier this year.
Tickets to the second screening go on sale at 9am on Friday, 26th September. See the Astor Theatre website for details. Nick Cave will also head out on an Australian solo tour this November and December.
