In 1988, ABC premiered “The Wonder Years,” a coming-of-age story featuring Fred Savage as Kevin Arnold; Jason Hervey as Kevin’s older brother, Wayne Arnold; Josh Saviano as Kevin’s best friend, Paul Joshua Pfeiffer and Danica McKella as Gwendolyn “Winnie” Cooper, the love of Kevin’s life… back when he was a kid.
For years, “The Wonder Years” has remained unavailable to fans because of music rights clearances and other issues. But that’s going to change very soon. StarVista Entertainment and Time Life are releasing The Wonder Years: The Complete Series, a massive 26 disk set that features all six seasons of the show for the first time ever.
The Wonder Years: The Complete Series is packaged in a limited edition metal locker based on the ones used in the show itself. The set also includes replica notebooks based on the ones used by Kevin and Winnie, a yearbook with behind-the-scenes cast photos and “Wonder Years” memorabilia in addition to new interviews with the cast.
Most importantly of all, over three hundred of the songs originally featured in “The Wonder Years” will be retained for The Complete Series, including the theme song, “With a Little Help from My Friends” by Joe Cocker.
