We Hate Ourselves For Loving The New Kanye Song ‘All Day’

We tried to swear him off after he singlehandedly made the first day of Outside Lands shitty last weekend, but damned if Kanye West doesn’t keep us coming back for more. A good sized clip of his new single, “All Day,” has made it online via Puff Daddy’s Revolt, and it’s good.

Like, really good.

Mr. Kardashian struts over a laidback beat with melancholy synths, and makes good on his recent promise to GQ that he would channel the types of lyrics Jay Z would lay down on their Watch The Throne collaborative project.

“All day, nigga, it’s Ye, nigga,'” Yeezy flows, and you can almost hear Hova on the track in his place. “‘Shopping for the winter, it’s just May, nigga. Ball so hard, man, this shit cray, nigga. You ain’t getting money unless you got eight figures.”

West had originally planned for a more “beautiful” approach to songwriting for his next record, but one song changed that entire plan. “I got a new song that’s so good that the album has to be balanced against it,” West said told GQ. “This song is a song that can be in the club like ‘Don’t Like’ or ‘Niggas in Paris.’”

Time will tell.
