Jamie T has dropped a violent music video for ‘Zombie’, the second track to be taken from his upcoming third album Carry on the Grudge, and it features the singer-songwriter transforming into a member of the living dead.
The follow-up to his comeback track ‘Don’t You Find’, ‘Zombie’ sees the London-born musician back in more familiar, high-tempo territory, following his more melancholic previous single.

The ultra-bloody video sees Jamie T and his bandmates steadily become the walking dead, complete with detached limbs and rotting flesh. We’d suggest not watching this one while you’re eating your lunch.
In terms of the music, it’s a little disappointing when compared with the lo-fi goodness of ‘Don’t You Find’. It’s a track that could have easily been taken from Jamie T’s second LP Kings & Queens, and while that isn’t a bad thing in and of itself, it suggests a lack of progression since the 2009 album. Hopefully Carry On The Grudge is more stylistically similar to his previous single than this one, but we’ll have to wait until its October 6th release date to find out.
