“Orphan Black” recently wrapped up its second season on BBC America without a renewal. But that’s not a problem anymore.
During the Television Critics Association press tour, BBC America confirmed that “Orphan Black” has been renewed for a third season of ten episodes, with production expected to begin in September. “Orphan Black” Season 3 will premiere in 2015.
BBC America also revealed that it will broadcast the second season of the ITV drama, “Broadchurch,” starring former “Doctor Who” actors David Tennant and Arthur Darvill alongside Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan. Tennant is also starring Fox’s upcoming remake of “Broadchurch,” which is called “Gracepoint.”

Additionally, BBC announced two new drama series: “Tatau” and “The Last Kingdom.”
“Tatau” was created by Richard Zajdlic and it follows two friends,Kyle and “Budgie” who come to the Cook islands where they discover that one of Kyle’s tattoos carries a great significance with the natives and it apparently gives him precognitive glimpse of the future that may allow him to save a young girl’s life.
“The Last Kingdom” is a historical drama series adapted from Bernard Cornwell’s The Saxon Stories by Stephen Butchard (House of Saddam). The story is set in 872 as King Alfred the Great of Wessex and his kingdom are all that stands in the way of a Viking invasion of the land that will one day become England.
According to BBC America, “Tatau” will begin filming in September. A start date for “The Last Kingdom” wasn’t included in the announcement.
