A second death has been connected to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. A 24-year old man named Montgomery Tsang reportedly died after collapsing in the parking lot of the dance music festival, and the Las Vegas Sun is now reporting that another man died after the event.
On Saturday evening, 25 year old Anthony Anaya of Everett, Washington, was found unconscious at Las Vegas hotel Vdara. He later died. Authorities are still awaiting details of the coroner’s report on both deaths, but the Associated Press noted that Anaya was in attendance.
Police told the Sun that 25 festivalgoers had been hospitalized from the event, with nearly 800 receiving medical treatment on-site. The unfortunate developments call to mind EDC’s 2010 incarnation in Los Angeles, in which over 100 people were hospitalized and a 15 year-old girl died of a drug overdose at the festival.
EDC was moved to Las Vegas, but made headlines for attendee deaths in Dallas in 2011 and Las Vegas in 2012.
