The three main headliners for this year’s Oxford Stomp in Calgary were just announced, and they include Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty), Our Lady Peace, and Lifehouse.
Oxford Stomp is a long-standing tradition in the Calgary corporate community, and this year’s event, on Friday, July 11th at Fort Calgary, marks its 26th year. Tickets to this private event include Rotary’s famous beef-on-a-bun dinner, free bus transportation and performances by the three international recording artists. Past artists include: Counting Crows (2013), GooGoo Dolls (2012), Theory of a Deadman (2012), Platinum Blonde (2011), Blue Rodeo (2010), Steven Page (2010), Tom Cochrane (2009) and Glass Tiger (2009).
The Oxford Stomp supports the Rotary Club of Calgary is a registered charity that invests 100% of the proceeds from this event back into the local community through a variety of charitable contributions. In 2013 Oxford Stomp raised $175,000 for the Rotary Club of Calgary in support of their Pathways Project and the Rotary Flood Relief Fund. In 2014, The Rotary Club of Calgary will continue to invest in the local community by helping kids stay in school and families enjoy outdoor living with the Stay in School Program and Pathways Project.
