Down Under for a quick tour, 30 Seconds To Mars took to Australian radio for a bit of promo this week where they performed a cover of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’.
The band appeared on station Triple M for the “The Song Remains The Same Challenge” segment- eerily similar to Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ which recently produced a Chvrches cover of Arctic Monkeys– actually the second time Jared Leto and Co have attempted the cover after first debuting it on BBC radio last year.
Triple M talked to Leto about his busy past year, a round of ‘fact or fiction’ where he admitted to considering appearing at the Oscars in drag to replicate his character from ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ and his love for Aussies.
“It’s a beautiful country, I’ll just say that,” Leto said in response to this week’s headline grabbing “I would love to meet the beautiful women of Australia” statement.
30 Seconds To Mars hit up Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday night and will be in Sydney and Brisbane this weekend.
