We already knew we’d soon see Diablo III: Utimate Evil Edition for PS4, but according to developer Blizzard, we should see it coming to the Xbox One as well.
As reported by Crave gaming site Destructoid, Diablo leader producer Alex Mayberry told Videogamer that working up a version of the game for both Microsoft and Sony platforms at the same time is really no big change of pace for Blizzard.
“I don’t know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can’t really comment on what that contract looks like,” he said. “The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run.”
We’re still waiting on a firm release date for the PS4 version, but even though no firm deal is in place with Microsoft, it sounds like the Xbox edition shouldn’t be too far behind.
