Legendary singer/songwriter Kate Bush is back, after an announcement today has revealed that she will be playing a set of 15 shows, 35 years after her last live tour.
An announcement on the ‘Wuthering Heights’ singer’s official website revealed that she will be performing at London’s Hammersmith Apollo from August to September, with tickets going on sale at 09:30 GMT Friday, 28th March.
Speaking after her first tour in 1979, a 20-year-old Bush expressed her distaste with performing live, saying: “By the end I felt a terrific need to retreat as a person because I felt that my sexuality, which in a way I hadn’t really had a chance to explore myself, was being given to the world in a way which I found impersonal.”
Bush’s last album was the 2011 LP 50 Words for Snow, which was warmly received by critics and fans alike.
