Titanfall’s Xbox 360 Version is “Great”, Says Microsoft

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall might be mysterious despite its impending launch, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gimped.

Speaking to Polygon, Xbox’s Yusuf Mehdi endorsed the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall, stating:

I think we struck the right balance — it was Respawn, really, and the developer who struck the balance — which is, it will play great on Xbox 360. Believe me, we are thrilled about it. Xbox 360 is in, obviously, all the markets including the top 13 with Xbox One; we’re in 48-plus markets for [Xbox 360]. For many markets, that will be the game. So, we’ve worked together to have that be a first-class experience.

Titanfall‘s Xbox 360 version is being developed by Bluepoint Games with the aid of Respawn Entertainment. They have a very strong track record with ports ranging from the God of War Collection to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale‘s PS Vita version. Hopes aren’t as high as they should be.

Some speculate that Microsoft has purposely kept the lid tight on the Xbox 360 version because it might be closer to parity with the heavily marketed Xbox One version than it would like. That may be the reason it was delayed two weeks.

Whatever the case, despite the heavy emphasis on Xbox One you can play Titanfall without one, whether it be on a PC or with your Xbox 360 in two weeks.
