Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid V will indeed be getting a PS4 bundle, known simply as the “Fox Edition.” I’d think of something witty to say, but that’s just awesome.
The bundle seems pretty standard in terms of what the box will contain, with both a Dualshock 4 and a copy of the game included with a Fox-branded PS4 console. Strangely, the bundle is clearly branded “Ground Zeroes.” Does this mean that Phantom Pain will receive its own bundle treatment? It seems odd to give a two hour game and a multi-dozen hour game each their own separate bundle, but Kojima is an odd guy. I wouldn’t be all that surprised.
It’s still unclear whether the bundle will make its way to the US, but considering that it’s launching alongside the game in Japan, it doesn’t seem all that unlikely.
Regardless, this thing looks sexy in an understated sort of way, and if it’s anything like the PS3 Metal Gear bundle, it’ll eventually be worth far more than its sticker price. I may just have to order two and capitalize on some of that eBay action.
