Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has stuck his neck out on the line, saying that he believes Sony’s PS4 is the best home console available on the market, not Microsoft’s Xbox One.
Speaking to Famitsu, Kojima said: “I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best. It’s also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at.”
Kojima has already stated that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which will be available on both the PS4 and Xbox One, looks “slightly better” on Sony’s system, and has also encouraged fans of the series to play its prologue, Ground Zeroes, on the PS4, too. Hmm… I wonder which console he prefers?
