Judy Davis Pulls Out of ‘24: Live Another Day’

Last December, veteran actress Judy Davis signed on to “24: Live Another Day” to portray Margot, the widow of a notorious terrorist who was widely expected to be one of Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) newest enemies. However, plans have been changed.

Deadline broke the story that Davis has left “24: Live Another Day” for ‘personal family matters” just a few weeks before she was scheduled to join the production team in London. “24: Live Another Day” is currently filming and Davis’ exit will not cause any delays. The role of Margot will soon be recast.

“24: Live Another Day” takes place several years after the final season of “24,” as Jack Bauer remains on the run and his former associate, Chloe O’Brian ( Mary Lynn Rajskub) also has her own problems with the U.S. government. Reuniting with Sutherland and Rajskub are Kim Raver as Audrey Raines and William Devane as President James Heller.

New cast members for the “24” miniseries include Benjamin Bratt, Yvonne Strahovski, Gbenga Akinnagbe and Giles Matthey as members of a CIA team sent to track down Jack, with Tate Donovan as White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau, the current husband of Jack’s former lover, Audrey.

Fox has set “24: Live Another Day” to premiere on Monday, May 5.
