Tropico 5 to Bring Simulation Genre to the PS4

The PlayStation 4 has just earned its first simulation game.

Kalypso Media has confirmed that Tropico 5 will be coming to PS4 this year. Managing director Andrew Johnson had the following to say regarding the news:

We are delighted to be able to work with Sony to bring Tropico 5 to PlayStation®4 and enter the next generation market. The PlayStation®4 version of Tropico 5 will expand the Tropico brand to the new generation hardware and to a new generation of gamers.

Tropico 5 is a construction and management simulation title that hopes to expand on the success its predecessor, Tropico 4, had. It’ll be the first game in the 13 year old franchise to incorporate multiplayer. Additionally, all of its systems, from trading to exploration, have been revamped.

Tropico 5 will also see release on PC and Xbox 360. The PS4 version will release a few months after the initial debut.
