Game of Thrones has inspired UK town Kings Langley to change its name to King’s Landing.
The change will occur in the first week of of the show’s season 3 DVD release, in which Kings Langley will assume the name of the main fictional city in the hugely popular HBO series.
The odd decision was made when one of the show’s producers heard the town’s name whilst on a train in the UK. He then promptly spoke with the town’s officials, who agreed to temporarily change the name in order to increase tourism.
For reference, here are the two locations. See if you can spot the difference.
