Fans turned up in droves at the 2013 Central Canada Comic Con this past weekend, where celebs like “Sons of Anarchy’s” Ron Perlman were featured guests.
With 34,000 people in attendance last year (and organizers guessing they surpassed those numbers this year), lines to get into the event affectionately known as C4 wrapped around the block. “We have just been steadily growing since 1997. Honestly, we even had to put our wrestling ring in the loading dock area this year so we’d have more room for exhibitors,” said co-ordinator Brian Mitchell (in an article with the Winnipeg Free Press).
In addition to a meet and greet with Perlman, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Glodberg was there along with “Power Rangers'” Jason David Frank, “Once Upon A Time’s” Lee Arenberg and Tony Amendola, and cast members of other hit shows including “Star Trek,” “Smallville,” “Lost Girl,” and “Buffy.”
