12 Fresh Faces Headline New-Look All Australian Team

The AFL announced the 2013 All Australia side on Monday night, headlined by 12 new faces.

Greater Western Sydney Giants forward Jeremy Cameron was atop the list of new players featured in the AFL’s best 22 of 2013, and another three that didn’t make the team the year before.

Selected alongside Cameron in the All Australian forward line was Port Adelaide’s Chad Wingard while Andrew Mackie (Geelong), Jarryd Roughead (Hawthorn), Michael Johnson (Fremantle), Travis Boak (Port), Sydney trio Jarrad McVeigh, Kieren Jack and Dan Hannebery, Scott Thompson (North Melbourne) and Western Bulldogs Will Minson and Ryan Griffen all made debut appearances.

Mackie made his first All Australia team after playing 197 games and winning three premierships. His Geelong teammate Joel Selwood was named captain while Gary Ablett, making his seventh consecutive appearance in the team, was named vice-captain.
