AMC’s “Low Winter Sun” is still in the early stages of its first season. But if you haven’t been watching, here’s what you need to know. Detroit Homicide Detectives Frank Agnew (Mark Strong) and Joe Geddes (Lennie James) murdered one of their fellow cops, Brendan McCann (Michael McGrady) and staged his death a suicide.
However, it currently appears that Joe manipulated Frank into killing McCann to protect himself from an unfolding Internal Affairs investigation. And unfortunately for both men, the coroner wasn’t fooled by their attempts to hide the truth. McCann’s death has officially been declared a homicide.
AMC has released a short recap video that will bring new viewers up to speed while exploring Frank’s motivation for killing McCann.
And in our exclusive preview scene from “Low Winter Sun” episode 3, Frank approaches IA officer Simon Boyd (David Costabile) at McCann’s memorial in a push to give Frank deeper access to Boyd’s investigation.
