Last season on “Hell on Wheels,” the Sioux burned down the town and attacked the railroad workers before “The Swede” (Christopher Heyerdahl) murdered Lily Bell (Dominique McElligott), the significant other of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), a former Confederate soldier whose wife and son were murdered years before.
But vengeance is off the table for Cullen in the new season of “Hell on Wheels.” This year, Cullen is taking charge of the Union Pacific railroad construction as they attempt to complete their cross country tracks before the Central Pacific Railroad. But Thomas “Doc” Durant ( Colm Meaney) is trying to weasel his way back into the picture at the Union Pacific. And even The Swede may not be as dead as he seemed…
