It’s been pointed out before, but there’s something sinister about Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ video. Maybe it’s because T.I. and Pharrell wander around the set like a couple of lecherous perverts. Maybe it’s because the song’s lyrics discuss women as if they were as sentient as a coffee table. Or maybe it’s because Robin himself is apparently so insecure he feels he has to conclude his music video with a model dancing in front of a selection of balloons that spell out ‘ROBIN THICKE HAS A BIG D.”
The women of the YouTube channel Mod Carousel are also seemingly not too impressed with Mr. Thicke, and have decided to show us what it would be like if the boot was on the other foot in this feminist ‘Blurred Lines’ parody. EQUALITY.
