Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Did Seth Ridley get kicked off from LAPD in The Rookie Season 7?

Yes, Seth Ridley was fired from the LAPD in The Rookie Season 7 Episode 10 “Chaos Agent.”

In the episode, Lucy Chen tasked Ridley with guarding a hospital room holding one of three teenage girls who had been stabbed in a park. This stabbing was part of a case she, John Nolan, and Angela Lopez were investigating.

Chen witnessed Ridley meet his former oncologist and tell her that his cancer had returned. The oncologist enquired why he did not come back to her. Ridley responded by telling her that his GP had referred him to a new oncologist since she was not part of the LAPD Insurance Plan network.

Chen later conversed with Luna, Sergeant Wade Grey’s wife, about Seth’s new oncologist. Luna told Chen about Seth’s old oncologist and how she would lie about a diagnosis for a price.

Ridley was then pulled to a nearby hospital room by Chen, where Grey and Sergeant Tim Bradford were waiting. Grey then informed Ridley of Chen’s concerns about his various lies during his training. Before Ridley could explain, Grey cut him off, noting how his explanations were “lacking.” The superior officer then coldly told the rookie that his cancer diagnosis had to be addressed.

Chen then asked Ridley for a blood draw, to prove his cancer, much to his frustration. Ridley then accused Chen, Bradford, and Grey of implying he was lying. However, they warned him that his refusal to submit a blood draw would result in his firing.

Ridley tried to plead with them to no avail. He refused a blood draw, prompting Grey to have Ridley hand over his badge and gun. Bradford and Chen then had Ridley collect his things and leave the station.
