Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are not just the thickest of friends, they are also each other’s biggest supporters and critics when it comes to music. In a recent interview with Stationhead, Gomez revealed that she played a few songs from her upcoming album, “I Said I Love You First,” for Taylor Swift.
Swift and Gomez share a close bond spanning decades, so it’s only natural that the “Scared of Loving You” singer would run her forthcoming release with her friend. Meanwhile, Swift’s reaction to her fellow artist’s songs also speaks of the deep friendship they share.
Selena Gomez says Taylor Swift loved her new album, and ‘she’s always honest’
Selena Gomez revealed that her gal pal Taylor Swift has heard a few songs from her and fiancé Benny Blanco’s upcoming album, “I Said I Love You First.” Speaking with Stationhead, Gomez shared that Swift loved the tracks. Although it is unclear which songs caught the “Fortnight” singer’s fancy, the feedback only made the Rare Beauty founder happy.
Moreover, Gomez said of her friend’s reaction, “That always is a win for me because she’s honest.” The two artists are 15 years into being the best of friends, having met sometime in 2008. Since then, they have showcased unequivocal love and support towards one another. Swift also supported her friend’s engagement to Benny Blanco, and the two ladies have frequently met up with each other on various occasions.
In early February, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift also spent a laughter-filled girls’ night out ahead of the Super Bowl 2025. According to an exclusive report from Page Six, an insider revealed that it was just the two and their security guards. The source said, “They were very sweet, giggly with each other and having fun.”
Meanwhile, Gomez and Blanco announced their collaborative album, “I Said I Love You First,” a couple of weeks ago. They also released their single “Scared of Loving You” along with the announcement. Most recently, the couple released another single from the album — “Call Me When You Break Up” featuring Gracie Abrams. The album releases on March 21.
