Kim Kardashian recently shared that her eldest daughter, North West, struggled emotionally after her divorce from Kanye West (now known as Ye). In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim revealed that North was initially “mad” at her but has since grown closer to her.
North West was ‘mad’ for a year after Kim-Kanye divorce
Kim Kardashian opened up about her daughter’s emotional journey while chatting with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, in the new episode of The Kardashians. She explained that North’s feelings toward her have shifted dramatically over time and is now more affectionate. “North is obsessed with me now,” Kim exclaimed. “Like, ‘Mom, I love you. You’re the best mom. I love you so much.’”
Kourtney pointed out that North has always been affectionate with her and asked Kim if she thought her own behavior had changed. She admitted, “Possibly. It was a year of, like, mad at me. I think it was all the divorce. Like, it’s insane the turnaround” (via Decider).
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in 2021 after seven years of marriage. It was finalized in 2022. Since then, Ye went on to marry Bianca Censori, while Kim is reportedly single.
In a similar vein, Kim, earlier in the season, had discussed the difficulties of ending a marriage, drawing parallels to her sister Khloe Kardashian’s past divorce from Lamar Odom. “When you don’t foresee something happening that really changes a person’s personality, and then they’re not the same person,” the entertainer shared. “You can’t ever get that person back, but you can’t live with the new person. I get it” (via InStyle).
