Selena Gomez & Gracie Abrams Are Gal Pals in New Music Video

Selena Gomez, Gracie Abrams, and Benny Blanco collaborated on a new pop song and its music video, which Blanco shot on his phone. The trio teased the collab via Blanco’s Instagram account, and a few days later, fans had a new break-up anthem to sad-bop to. Blanco shared a post on Instagram, revealing he recorded the music video on his phone, proving his studio wizardry yet again.

Three days after sending fans of Selena Gomez and Gracie Abrams to an elation via a cryptic Instagram post, Benny Blanco brought the duo together for a new project. A day later, Gomez released the teaser video of the new song on Instagram, prompting Abrams to comment “Heyyyyyyyy that’s my friendddd.” Blanco responded to Abrams’ comment, writing, “heyyyyyy that’s my wife,” sparking further speculation and excitement in the two fandoms. 

On Thursday, Gomez posted a snippet from the music video with Abrams in it, officially announcing its release date and time. As such, the three artists collaboratively released “Call Me When You Break Up” from Gomez and Blanco’s upcoming joint album. Adding to fans’ frenzy, Blanco posted a behind-the-scenes video, revealing the making of the music video. 

In the clip, Blanco is seen recording Gomez and Abrams singing the new song together on a front-facing camera in a bedroom. As such, the producer unveiled through the video’s caption, “I made a Selena Gomez and Gracie Abrams music video on my phone.” 

Upon learning the producer’s creative process in the wings, fans swarmed the post’s comments, appreciating the artist. A fan wrote, “You’re a Genius this hit is amazing,” while another commented, “Is that that I called Talent?” 

After publicizing their engagement, Gomez and Blanco announced their joint studio album, I Said I Love You First,” for release on March 13. The couple soon released their new song together on Valentine’s Day, offering a poignant glimpse into their relationship. Before “Scared of Loving You,” the artists had released the official music video for “I Can’t Get Enough” together.
