This chapter focused entirely on the identity of the mysterious man wearing a Kasa hat. While Chapter 1138 suggested that this character might be a member of the Roger Pirates, that speculation has now been confirmed. The mysterious man is Scopper Gaban, also known as Ya-san, who worked alongside the now-disbanded Roger Pirates.
Apart from focusing on anything else, the chapter provided more details about Gaban’s family. It was revealed that he is the father of Colon and his wife, Ripley, was a biology teacher at Walrus’ School. Gaban used to live on Elbaph Island with his wife. Gaban used to work as the left-hand man of Gol D Roger and was considered to be as strong as the Pirate King and his right-hand man, Silvers Rayleigh.
The true purpose of Gaban at the Elbaph castle is unknown. However, in the chapter, it is revealed that he takes the keys to Loki’s chains from a secret room. After taking the keys, the former Roger Pirates member confronted Luffy to duel with him if he wanted to free Loki.
