Martinez and Redner were two crew members of the series who passed away. They passed away while the series was on a break during the holidays.

Jeremy Martinez was born on June 10, 1974, and hailed from Farmington, New Mexico. He had a career spanning 25 years and served as the second assistant accountant for SWAT for multiple seasons. His other credits in this arena include Colony, Secrets and Lies, Recovery Road, Agent X, Stalker, The Last Ship, and Rake.

Besides this, Martinez also served as a production assistant on projects like Lost & Found, Profiler, and Born Into Exile.

His exact date of death is unknown.

Meanwhile, Robert ‘Robbie’ Redner died on January 5, 2025 at 54. He served as the series’ rigger and production lamp operator. Like Martinez, he also had a career in Hollywood for 25 years. This timeframe saw him be a part of the production for popular projects like Mission Impossible III, Titanic, Castle, Rizzoli & Isles, Desperate Housewives, Charlie’s Angels, and Westworld.

The storyline for S.W.A.T. Season 8 finds Shemar Moore’s Hondo and the 20-squad attempting to uncover the identity of a mysterious man from Hondo’s past who seeks revenge against him. Meanwhile, Tan and Deacon clash after the former makes considerable changes to the structure of the SWAT Academy, to the latter’s dismay.
