UFC’s Dana White Slams Bryce Mitchell for Hitler Comment

UFC President Dana White has publicly condemned fighter Bryce Mitchell‘s recent comments about Adolf Hitler. The remarks, made during the first episode of Mitchell’s podcast, have sparked widespread backlash. Despite the uproar, White clarified that no disciplinary action would be taken against Mitchell. Now, many are curious to know what Mitchell said.

In this article, we will delve into Bryce Mitchell’s comments.

Why did Dana White call out Bryce Mitchell?

Bryce Mitchell, a UFC fighter, has sparked outrage with his comments about Adolf Hitler on the debut episode of his podcast, ArkanSanity. In the episode, Mitchell called Adolf Hitler a “good guy.” He denied the Holocaust, along with making a range of homophobic, transphobic, and antisemitic remarks. These controversial statements quickly garnered attention and criticism.

UFC President Dana White condemned Mitchell’s comments as “beyond disgusting” and emphasized that the fighter needed “a real education on the facts surrounding Hitler and World War Two.” However, White stated that while the organization had spoken to Mitchell, no disciplinary action would be taken, emphasizing the importance of freedom of speech. UFC President added, “That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform to a lot of dumb and ignorant people.” (via The Independent)

Despite the backlash, Mitchell has faced no official consequences from the UFC. Combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, who is Jewish, voiced his disappointment, stating that MMA had reached a “new low.” Helwani wrote, “Nothing will be done, and I don’t even care if anything is done. Say what you want. It just continues to baffle me at how unbelievably stupid – not to mention bigoted – some of the people in the sport or associated with the sport can be.”

While UFC management has publicly denounced Mitchell’s comments, no further action has been taken. The fighter remains with the organization, despite the recent controversy.
