Although Max has yet to greenlight The Sex Lives of College Girls for another season, it seems likely that the show will return. Justin Noble, the showrunner of the series, recently shared his thoughts on what Season 4 could bring. Speaking with TheWrap, Noble spoke about the exciting possibilities that could shape the plot for the next season. This is all thanks to the cliffhanger ending and new introductions with which Season 3 drew its curtain.
Regarding Season 4, Noble said, “Kimberly has the cliffhanger of this season — she thinks that the school is going to sue her for property damage. I’d love to see how that goes down and if Tig Notaro’s character would play into that if she has to come to her aid. We have multiple new love interests that appear in these two episodes at the end of season 3, we have the closing of some doors and different extracurriculars and school things, so there’s a lot of momentum heading into a season 4, and lots of ways we can go.”
Noble also mentioned that he, Mindy Kaling (the show’s co-creator), and the rest of the writers are awaiting the green light from Max in order to begin preparing for Season 4. Given the exciting prospects teased by the showrunner, it seems the show has much more to offer. So, we can speculate that there’s a high possibility that The Sex Lives of College Girls might return with Season 4.
But, fans will have to wait for an official announcement from Max.
