Since its small-screen debut in 1973, The Young and the Restless has introduced and retired a plethora of pivotal characters. While most of the departing roles have had to say a permanent goodbye to the long-running series, there have been a few fan-favorite characters over the years who have made an unexpected comeback to the Y&R setup. With the soap drama choosing to continue with its traditional ways, the possibility of beloved actors reprising their roles on the show runs rampant even to this day. So, what characters’ return can fans expect in the upcoming episodes of The Young and the Restless?
All actors and characters returning to The Young and the Restless this week
The most prominent character returning this week on The Young and the Restless is Linden Ashby‘s Cameron Kirsten. Ashby first joined the cast of the beloved soap in 2003, only to make a surprising exit in 2004.
He rejoined the series in March 2023, only for Kirsten to be killed off in an episode that aired on June 16th of that year. Nevertheless, the character is now back, much to the fans’ joy, with Ashby portraying the spirit of the late Cameron Kirsten, who haunts the conflicted Sharon Newman.
Meanwhile, Ray Wise’s Ian Ward will also be returning to the show in brief appearances to make do with his devious intentions. Valarie Pettiford’s Amy Lewis will also receive an increment in her screen time this week, as fans will see Lewis in crucial scenes alongside Sean Dominic’s Nate and Zuleyka Silver’s Audra.
However, the most noticeable modification to the current cast of The Young and the Restless has nothing to do with any character’s return. Instead, it is the departure of Collen Zenk, who has finally completed her prolonged stay on the soap as Jordan Howard. Having made her debut back in November 2023, Zenk exited Young and Restless following the death of her villainous character, which occurred due to Jordan consuming a cup of poisoned tea.
