Thirlwall revealed that she and Styles went on a date when they were both 16, just as he had been placed in One Direction. The two stayed in touch for a while. However, once One Direction started competing on live shows, Styles stopped responding to her messages. Thirlwall recalled, “The minute they went on live shows, he didn’t message me back.
