Which actors play Lasher in Mayfair Witches Season 1 & 2?
There are different actors essaying the role of Lasher in Mayfair Witches: Seasons 1 & 2. In Season 1, the role was played by Jack Huston, who is known for his appearances in American Hustle, Kill Your Darlings, Fargo, and Outlander, among many more. In Season 2 the makers decided to show a younger version of the character. As a result, child actor Roxton Garcia was roped in to play Lasher. Garcia’s acting credits include Heels, The Lost Husband, and Reminiscience.
Lasher’s character in Mayfair Witches explained
Lasher is a dark spirit in Mayfair Witches. The character played by Huston in the first season is introduced as the central villain of the series. Lasher is an evil spirit who keeps an eye on Rowan Fielding and the other witches. His presence is mysterious yet powerful and he knows how to get his things done. In Season 1, he becomes a young man in Rowan’s head while she walks into the magical world.
However, in the finale of part 1, he does the unthinkable by getting into the body of Rowan’s unborn child. Season 2 took an interesting turn as Lasher born as Rowan’s baby intends at dangerous circumstances for everyone around.
While Rowan accepts her newborn irrespective of suspicious intentions, the baby’s growth rate leaves everyone shocked. Lasher transforms from a toddler to a pre-teen in a few days leading to a growth in his powers.
While Lasher’s intentions in the show are unclear, the original books reveal the spirit as a creature called Taltos. His ultimate goal is to use Rowen and the witches to produce more of its offspring. Further, he kills many humans trying to impregnate them with Book 2 witnessing the birth of another Taltos.
