The actor is committing to the donation to help and support two main causes — “urgent needs and post-fire recovery efforts.” In the Instagram Story, he also mentioned all the organizations that will receive aid from the fund.

DiCaprio wrote, “Initial aid will immediately benefit the LA Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen, California Community Foundation, Pasadena Humane Society, and SoCal Fire Fund.” Following that, the Academy Award winner went on to commend the organizations’ efforts during this challenging period caused by the LA wildfires.

Moreover, DiCaprio explained that the organizations working on the frontlines have provided “much-needed resources to our first responders and firefighters, and the people, animals and communities who need it most.” The actor also talked about the main purpose of the relief fund by Re:wild, stating that the “Rapid Response Program is uniquely positioned to respond to environmental disasters and emergencies.”

The actor posted several other stories on Instagram that highlighted the different organizations where people can donate to help better the terrifying LA fire situation. One of the posts included a photo of the LA Fire Department Foundation workers working tirelessly to protect the community. Another story showed the Pasadena Humane workers checking on a rescued dog from the wildfire.
