Pratt later collaborates with Brother Bill to hatch a plan to save Abish. Consequently, they decide to attack the tribe while finding out his wife’s location. However, when they execute their attack, she teams up with her new family, the Shoshone tribe, to beat their enemies.
Unaware of Abish being in the altercation, Jacob Pratt does the unthinkable. Through his own hands, he shoots his wife, whom he had been desperate to find throughout the series. Before Pratt realizes his mistake, it’s too late and Abish lies dead. This turns him insane, making it hard for him to believe that he killed his soulmate with his own hands.
As Pratt’s life’s ultimate motto was only to reunite with Abish, he is now left with no purpose and no family. He is filled with anger, guilt, and grief, unable to decide on what to do. Thus, Pratt decides to shoot himself, ending his life, and reuniting with his wife in the afterlife.
