This is according to an anonymous source speaking with The Associated Press who confirmed Trump’s upcoming interview on The Joe Rogan Experience. Both Trump and Kamala Harris have appeared on various podcasts in the weeks leading up to the general 2024 presidential election on November 5. Joe Rogan’s interview with Donald Trump will take place on Friday, October 25. The Joe Rogan Experience, which is available on Spotify and YouTube, generally posts podcasts at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
The JRE podcast remains one of the leading podcasts in media and is particularly popular with young men between the ages of 18 to 34, according to a 2023 YouGov analysis. This has been a key demographic for the Trump campaign. As noted by a crosstab aggregator for polls held between September 11 and 30, Trump has roughly a 7-point lead over Harris when it comes to male voters. A NBC News poll says that this gap is even wider, with men backing Trump by 16 points.
Trump confirmed that he would appear on Joe Rogan while speaking with the Nelk Boys podcast on October 12. He also called Rogan “a good guy” who also has “a good voice.” In August, however, Trump criticized Rogan after he said Robert Kennedy Jr. was the only won running who made sense to him. Trump wrote on his social media site: “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring???”
To clarify his support for RFK Jr., Rogan said on X that he wasn’t outright endorsing him. Instead, he says he likes him “as a person” and he appreciates “the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence.” On August 23, RFK Jr. suspended his presidential campaign and threw his support behind Trump.
According to Reuters, campaign officials for Kamala Harris said that they met with the Joe Rogan team but no appearance has been yet confirmed.
