This Jennifer Lopez Life Hack Is Genius

Jennifer Lopez speaks to Nikki Glaser in her first exclusive for Interview Magazine since filing for divorce from Ben Affleck. The conversation between Lopez and Glaser is personal as the multifaceted star discusses some “incredibly hard moments and huge disappointments” and her journey through them. J.Lo tells Glaser that growth and reaching new levels in her career is “a lifelong process” with “no arrival point.”

A life hack for Jennifer Lopez was realizing that “there’s only getting better and growing if you want to.” She believes life is all about choosing between whether one wants to grow or die, and the “dying part” is something she doesn’t want to do.

J.Lo on dealing with hard times: ‘These things are not going to kill me’

Jennifer Lopez looks back at her achievements and admirable works while talking to Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine and weighs on her recent life struggles. J.Lo’s advice for “when your whole house blows up” is to work on “figuring yourself out” and “to be good on your own.” Talking about this past summer, she reveals that life got excruciatingly “hard.” For her, hard looks and feels “lonely, unfamiliar, scary.” She further added, “It feels sad. It feels desperate.” Nonetheless, the 55-year-old assured, “These things are not going to kill me.”

The last few months have been crucial for Jennifer Lopez to realize that she hadn’t learned to be “healthy” or “complete” on her own despite thinking that she did. She finally recognized the need “to go off and be on my own” and “to prove to myself that I can do that” this summer. The singer knows she is “capable of joy and happiness” and so much more all by herself. She asserts that her relationships don’t define her and that “looking for happiness in other people” is not an option for her anymore.

Jennifer Lopez now feels the need to look for happiness within herself. The mother of two gives away her life hack to figure all this out. She says it works by searching for the “feelings underneath” and “belief systems that we have about ourselves that make us make certain choices and create certain patterns” in life.

Lopez seemingly refers to her and Ben Affleck’s highly publicized divorce news surfaced in August. As per divorce filings, the former couple have reportedly been separated since April after two years of marriage.
