Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kim Porter’s kids have broken their silence amid recent accusations surrounding their late mother. There have been several speculations on the internet since the disgraced rapper was arrested earlier this month. Combs is currently under investigation as he faces racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges. However, the music mogul has pleaded not guilty after the new indictment.
Amid the controversy, Porter’s alleged memoir has been garnering attention. The Daily Mail reported that the late model allegedly saved her book, “Kim’s Lost Words,” on a hard drive and shared it with close friends. Los Angeles-based publisher Chris Todd reportedly obtained the book and released it on September 6, using the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood. However, Porter’s kids have now claimed she never wrote a memoir. Here are all the details.
Diddy and Kim Porter’s kids are lashing out at mother’s memoir rumors
Kim Porter shared Quincy Brown with singer Albert Joseph Brown, professionally known as Al B. Sure!. The children she shared with Combs are Christian (King) Combs and twins, D’Lila and Jessie Combs. In a statement shared on Tuesday, the kids noted they “feel the need to speak out” as they have come across “so many hurtful and false rumors” about Porter and Combs’ relationship, as well as their mother’s tragic passing. They continued, “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
The statement continued, “Please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.” The children also mentioned that their “lives were shattered” when they lost their mother. They wrote, “She was our world. Nothing has been the same since she passed.”
Kim Porter’s kids further noted in the statement, “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play.” Porter died in November 2018 at the age of 47 due to lobar pneumonia.
However, the late model’s ex, Al B. Sure!, recently called for an investigation into her death in a series of Instagram posts saying that he believes she was murdered. He also added in his Instagram post that the individuals working around the late model were “instructed to steal her computer and mobile devices, which contained her ‘original book notes.'” Moreover, he claimed the recently published book is “fabricated.”
Combs’ alleged crimes are now also being dissected in the public eye, with many news outlets and social media users finding past incidents of controversial or cryptic remarks being made either by the rapper or about him.
