Brittany Cartwright admits Jax Taylor is a great dad

Brittany Cartwright spoke to People about co-parenting son Cruz with estranged husband Jax Taylor. “The Valley” star revealed that while their son is their topmost priority, it will take some time for them to get around the situation. The reality personality was all praise for Jax Taylor as she opened up about the situation.

Cartwright confessed that she would not separate the father and the son. She acknowledged that Taylor is “a great dad” but he is a “terrible husband,” yet she does not want to distance Cruz from his father. The star continued, “We will always put Cruz first and we are going to work towards a healthy co-parenting relationship.”

“It’s going to take some time,” she said while discussing how the couple might need more time. “Still, things are very raw between us, but for the most part, I do know if I needed something, if Cruz needed something, I could call him and he would be there for us.”

Brittany Cartwright filed for divorce from Jax Taylor, her husband of five years, in August 2024. This comes six months after the former couple announced their separation. The reality star filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Speaking for the reason behind the divorce, Cartwright told the outlet, “I think it’s been very obvious much I loved him and how hard I tried to work on our relationship. I wanted to make sure I did every single thing I could possibly do to give it a chance and to try for my family, for my son, for my future, but I couldn’t do it anymore. I had to put myself first.”

Brittany Cartwright further revealed that their divorce will be shown in the second season of “The Valley.”
