Megan Fox stars as a killer A.I. robot in the trailer for upcoming horror sci-fi movie Subservience. The actress takes on the role of Alice, a “lifelike artificially intelligent android” purchased by struggling father Nick (Michele Morrone), who’s looking for help with the housework after his wife becomes sick. Inevitably, things don’t work out too well in this futuristic family set-up.
The trailer shows Megan Fox seducing Nick while looking to take Maggie’s place in the family, with the A.I. housekeeper looking to take the role of matriarch by force. It seems that Alice won’t be the only android to rebel, either, as it seems that the film’s A.I. gets a little too intelligent.

The movie is directed by S.K. Dale, whose previous credits include 2021’s Till Death and the short films The Coatmaker and Beyond the Water’s Edge. Fox has had a string of box office misses in recent years, with her last major project being 2014’s live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With Subservience likely to draw comparisons to 2022’s sleeper hit M3GAN, Fox will likely be hoping for similar success here.
The synopsis for Subservience reads:
“When his wife becomes sick, a struggling father buys a lifelike AI android named Alice to help with the housework. Things seem fine until Alice suddenly becomes self-aware and wants everything its new family has to offer, including the affection of its owner.“
