Meanwhile in Wisconsin: Zillow Home Listing Goes Viral For Hilariously Inappropriate Décor (Sold!)

When you’re preparing to put your home on the market, there are a few tried-and-true tricks most realtors recommend to entice buyers to make an offer. These involve painting the home a neutral color (a current favorite is the aptly named Agreeable Gray), making sure the abode is spic n’ span, and removing any personal photos or mementos before the interior photos of the house hit a real estate site like Zillow.

Some homeowners in Onalaska, Wisconsin, however, didn’t get the memo, and left a hilarious piece of inappropriate décor on their bedroom wall.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised, as the pics shared by the Twitter account Zillow Gone Wild show an overabundance of kitschy signage. It’s the kind of décor you’d expect from someone who spends a little too much time at an arts-and-crafts store.

“This $420k (lol) Onalaska, WI is a good example of what happens when your Michael’s obsession goes one sign too far,” Zillow Gone Wild captioned the shots, which show cheesy home goods like a cutting board that demands “Eat,” a pillow that says “Our Nest,” and a sign that reads “This kitchen is for dancing.”

But the kicker is in the bedroom, where a sign above the bed proudly proclaims, “Welcome to Poundtown.”

Twitter had some laughs at the homeowners’ expense.

While we agree that it’s laughable that the owners think they’re going to get $420K for this 4-bedroom, 3-bath, 3,600 square foot home in Bumfuck, Wisconsin, we can appreciate the artisanal humor. But we’d bet anything that no one has had sex in this house in a very long time.
