If the majority of the things you did in life were based on the way Michael Scott in The Office lived his, well, odds are you’d either end up in jail or living on your grandma’s couch.
But according to HuffPost, that wasn’t the case this time around for a Central Michigan student who said she was thinking of the way Steve Carell’s character performed CPR to the tune of “Stayin’ Alive” in Season Five of the hit comedy show when she miraculously saved a drowning squirrel last week.
“Honestly, when I was doing it, I was thinking of the episode of ‘The Office’ when they do CPR,” Natalie Belsito said. “I was literally singing that song as I tried to do it.”

The 18-year-old Belsito is studying biology wildlife conservation at Central Michigan, and if it was up to us, we’d give her an extra four internship credits for her life-saving actions on March 28. Check out our new favorite superhero in action:

“Seeing the squirrel OK and running up the tree was an amazing feeling, and also having my team there to support the squirrel made it even better,” Belsito said. “I hope it’s inspiring people to help those that can’t help themselves!”
It sure is inspiring. At the same time, it’s a fresh reminder that I did nothing in my four-plus years of college to better the planet. Meanwhile, it took Belsito just one day to accomplish that feat. #Hero.
Now I think it’s time we see Belsito’s inspiration:
