So aside from humans living in Florida being drunk all the time in order to deal with the fact that they live in Florida, it looks like animals in Florida are also looking to get trashed. Well, at least that’s what happened to one opossum.
The opossum decided to break into a liquor store, found a batch of bourbon and drank herself silly.

What a photo. A police officer was able to get the drunk opossum, who was passed out from drinking too much, and take her to the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge.
“A worker there found the opossum up on a shelf next to a cracked open bottle of liquor with nothing in it. She definitely wasn’t fully acting normal.,” said Michelle Pettis, who works as a technician at the refuge.
But not to worry, the nice folks at the refuge were able to load her up with fluids and flush the booze before she suffered any alcohol poisoning. And you just knew that Twitter was loving this story. Check out the best responses below.
Really? That sounds impossumible.

Guess my plan worked. Drink all the liquor then leave my pet opossum at the liquor store. #Florida

I think I represent all skunks when I say it’s not fair to call us alcoholics just to make a rhyming joke. We’re already sensitive enough about our body odor.
