IFC’s Brockmire may have a second season lined up, but things aren’t getting any easier for Hank Azaria’s title character!
Azaria’s Jim Brockmire made his debut in a classic video for Funny or Die, which introduced him as a legendary Major League Baseball announcer who had a major meltdown on the air after learning about his wife’s infidelity in a very public way. The Brockmire TV series picks up a decade later as Jim Brockmire attempts to rebuild his life and his career by relocating to a small town and taking a job as a minor league baseball announcer. Along the way, Brockmire’s started a relationship of sorts with Jules (Amanda Peet), the owner of the team, while serving as a mentor to Charles (Tyrel Jackson Williams), the team’s intern.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive clip from the sixth episode of Brockmire, Jim is trying to process a pregnancy scare with Jules by playing a game of catch with Charles. It seems that Jim thinks of himself as Charles’ surrogate father, but Charles will quickly disabuse him of that notion! And he’s not exactly a fan of the idea that Jim is even considering having a kid.
