The ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Trailer Will Make You Make This Face

Make no mistake, Thor is one of the weirdest superheroes in the world. He’s a Norse god who’s technically just an alien, immortal yet under constant physical peril, who wields a magic construction tool that only he can lift. There’s nothing else you can call that by weird as hell, and apparently What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi decided to highlight that aspect of the character in Thor: Ragnarok.

The first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok debuted this morning and it’s a big, broad, colorful, hyper-production designed affair, full of aliens straight out of Guardians of the Galaxy, a hard-rockin’ Led Zeppelin soundtrack and the pointiest hat in motion picture history. It features Thor (Chris Hemsworth) running afoul of Enchantress (Cate Blanchett) and winding up in an alien gladiator arena, squaring off against – and this ain’t a spoiler because a) it’s in the trailer, and b) it was announced FOREVER ago – the incredible Hulk. And Thor’s reaction to this plot point is pretty darned priceless.

Check out your first look below, and remember to mark your calendars, because Thor: Ragnarok hammers its way into theaters on November 3, 2017!
