I guess real journalism still exists. And that’s what I’ve been trying to show all you folks with all my articles talking about Instagram models.
So it seems like Pittsburg High School in Kansas is going to have to look for a new principal because their previous one, Amy Robertson, wasn’t exactly being truthful about her credentials. At least that’s what students discovered on their own. Let us explain.
“She was going to be the head of our school, and we wanted be assured that she was qualified and had the proper credentials,” said Trina Paul, an editor at the Booster Redux — the newspaper responsible for the discovery. “We stumbled on some things that most might not consider legitimate credentials.”

And what did they stumble upon? Well apparently that master’s and doctorate degree that Robertson claimed to have gotten at a place called Corllins University? Yeah, not real. The students at Booster Redux actually reached out to the Department of Education and discovered that the agency couldn’t even find any proof that Corllins University even existed or was in operation. So what the hell is Corllins? Oh, it’s just a “diploma mill” that sells fake degrees and diplomas. Busted.
During a conference call with Booster Redux reporters, Robertson “presented incomplete answers, conflicting dates and inconsistencies in her responses.” Whoops.

Emily Smith, Booster Redux’ advisor said that the school actually went ahead and held an emergency faculty meeting, and the superintendent said that Robertson had been unable to prove she received an undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa, as she had claimed. And of course, Robertson resigned.
“In light of the issues that arose, Dr. Robertson felt it was in the best interest of the district to resign her position,” Pittsburg Community Schools announced in a statement last night. “The Board has agreed to accept her resignation.”
No shit.
If only Robertson knew that continuing to yell “fake news” might have saved her behind. Oh well.
And kudos to these kids for getting to the bottom of the truth. As for Robertson, I’m sure any Florida school would be more than happy to have her.
