A dashcam is a pretty convenient tool for the modern driver, but the majority of us still abstain from purchasing one either due to their perceived expensiveness, or simply because we don’t want a camera constantly recording our time on the road. However, a YouTube user has put together a compelling list of reasons and brutal footage that will likely convince you to finally bite the bullet.
The video, titled ‘You Should Buy a Dashcam,’ highlights just how much insane footage YouTuber Watchogue has captured using his video recording device. From a truck having its roof torn off after passing beneath a low bridge, to a car steering directly into a wall on a freeway for no discernible reason, Watchogue discusses how not only has his dashcam helped him with his insurance claims following road accidents, but that it has also allowed him to obtain millions of views on YouTube.
While his reasons behind purchasing a dashcam are compelling, it’s inarguable that Watchogue has experienced an unfathomably large amount of ridiculous scenarios while driving around in his car. The video clips he uses to illustrate his point includes examples of road rage, terrifying crashes and other such incidents.
