Here’s a feel-good story a day before Thanksgiving so that you can head into Turkey Day ready to fill your mouthhole with your friends and family. (That didn’t sound right.)
The folks at Bada Bing! Pizzeria, a pizzeria in Springfield, Ohio, are trying their best to spread a little holiday cheer to those less fortunate by offering food to all those lonely and hungry folks who may not have anywhere to go tomorrow.
The pizza joint posted a notice on their door that read “We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, we will be having dinner here around 2pm with our family, employees, and friends. If you are hungry or don’t have any money, please come in. We will welcome you and make sure you get plenty to eat.”
The notice has caught the attention of the Internet, reaching the top of Reddit and putting the pizzeria on the map.
Plenty of positive comments have poured in about the pizzeria and their generous offer, and hopefully it encourages other businesses to do the same.
I think sometimes we are so busy filling our bodies with food and shortening our lifespan that we forget that there are plenty of people out there who aren’t as fortunate. Be sure to help someone in need tomorrow as well, folks.
